What a beautiful and very popular species! It is native to the open forest areas, savannahs and coastal areas of Cuba. It forms a thin, single stem, the upper part of which is densely covered by rough leaf sheath fibers. The small crown has beautiful, very stiff, rounded leaves that are green at the top and silvery-white at the bottom. The seeds have just arrived.
