Paprika and chillies are among the vegetables that need the most heat and light to grow. That is why most varieties are best in the greenhouse. Outdoor cultivation is only worthwhile in very warm regions, for example in the wine-growing climate, or in locations in the vegetable garden with an ideal microclimate. The culture in the pot on a south-facing balcony or terrace is also recommended, because the house walls radiate a lot of heat.
